Re: SIN number, no address

When I applied they gave me the number right away and they had the actual card sent to their own Services Canada office (where I applied for SIN), which I picked up from them after 2 weeks. If you...

Re: Finally landed / Problem Opening Bank Acc

The banking staff here aren't the brightest (but then again, neither are the ones in the UK). It took me three tries at RBC to get a credit card. They kept rejecting it because I didn't had a...

Re: Using regular parcel services to ship belongings?

I am in a similar position and looking to ship only a few boxes, mostly of books. I Googled 'luggage shipping' and got a few companies. As canmoreskier said, some will do door-to-door, others only...

Re: Landing Question

Keep in mind that if you are out of Canada for three years in a five year period, you will lose your PR (yes, its not that permanent).

You may also want to consider making arrangements to get your...

Re: question about landing

This is a repetation to what Mike said above, but please note his point that all members need to land before the expiration date on the visa (usualy one year from medical).

From your post it...

Re: LANDING / PR in 2 weeks, what do I need?

No, you don't need to complete that form. That's only if you are applying for the PR card after you have landed. But since the card will be processed when you land, you dont need to complete the...

Re: What if Field of Experience is different from Education

For Federal Skilled Worker application, they are independent of each other, so can be in different fields.

NOC 0631 is Restaurant and Food Service Managers not Hotel Manager. Make sure you still...

Re: Extending TWP or applying for PR now?

If you qualify for PR application now, you would want to do that as soon as you can. Rules are changing and getting stricter. Who knows what the rules will be by the time you have done your two...

Re: Does this type of work experience count for FSW App?

The way I read that page is that you two options:

Option 1:

* include the results of your official language proficiency test, AND
* have a valid offer of arranged employment

OR

Option 2:

Re: Does this type of work experience count for FSW App?

While I can understand frustration, it is sometimes better to stand back, breath deeply and research all your options. As a PhD student you should be quite good at research, no?

As christmasoompa...

If CIC already received 1,000 applications for your spouse's profession before hers, then they won't accept any more applications. I really would not want to withdraw an application already in the...

Re: Thinking of withdrawing 2007 App.and resubmitting now????

So is your OH the main application on your current (2007) application?

If so, could you not submit a new application (with you as the main application) and leave the 2007 also in the system?

I...

Re: Part 2 of application soon to be sent off, but a few questions first;

£90 per document sounds very high. I had mine notorised, but the lawyer I went to was very nice (I know, a nice lawyer, whoever heard of that), and instead of charging me a per document rate, he...

And in this one it does state...

Mojovibe hope you did well, best wishes.

It appears that you took the Academic version of the test. This is not a problem, it will be accepted, but General version would suffice for Canada...
