Macquarie bought a 51% share of Ozforex way back in 2007. I've not heard of any further acquisition by them since then.

I have used Ozforex on a regular basis and always used to get a little...

Re: Brain Picking - where would you buy in Perth?

You were saying this over 3 years ago mate

Like others have said, Perth has a distinct shortage in rentals and there is no sign of this letting up anytime soon. I see this all the time as new...

Re: Buying a house in Perth? Knock 30% Off!

Re: Is this a good offer for solar?

Quality solar panels made from tempered glass (which most are) are generally considered to be hail proof and would sustain golf ball size hail at the minimum.

Of course that's not to say that in...

Re: What's the easist way to transfer GBPs here?

I think I might know why it hasn't been mentioned on here before - this is possibly the worst way to do any transfers!
Apart from legality issues, you will get just about the worst exchange rate...

Re: Work wear - long or short sleeve shirts?

Most people wear long sleeves here in Perth, and generally turned up at the cuffs once or twice outside of winter.

I know what you mean about wearing short sleeves and I generally avoid them as...

Re: Anyone feel stuck in Perth but want out ?

Have lived a number of years (minimum 5) in each of London, Oxford, Amsterdam, Johannesburg and certainly got the best out of what each city/area had to offer, but now in Perth for 4 years and lovin'...

Re: Qantas...hmmmm....

I've worked for a number of companies across the globe that have gone through periods of outsourcing and offshoring. It's a natural step in the business world to deliver profit and beat competitors. ...

Re: Is MiFi MEANT to be this slow?

The UK economy and interest rates have to pick up some time and improve the value of the pound.

Re: Civil Engineer - Salary Help!

You'd probably pick up another 30k per annum with LAFHA. Once you've been here a while you could start picking up more $$ out in the field, but you're getting a good first step into Australia ......
