We were there in December with 12, 9 and 1 year old boys - fantastic. Do London eye first trip (10am I think) to avoid queues. Pay extra one or two quid for a guide as ours was fantastic at pointing...

Husband loves marmite (the UK version NOT the ozzie version which apparently tastes nothing like) and hates vegemite. Kids have also converted to marmite.

Don't worry about repeating the year lots of kids start late here - there is a strong trend to wait rather than get them to school as soon as possible. They will probably find they are not the oldest...

I am in melbourne. As others have stated scholarships are very difficult to obtain as lots of those kids are coached from birth. Amazing but true!

I have been here 16 years now and wish i had left in those early days. Came over with OH (who is english) for work. He loves it here. Agreed to marry him...

Was looking at a flight to UK in September on webjet but found it was $100 cheaper to book direct at qantas!
