Well we sold up lock stock and barrel and after 10 years in spain, no regrets whatsoever. You need to come with the right attitude that you are going to make it work and that spain is home not the UK

I have vodaphone and movistar and they are both rubbish when you live in the campo, impossible to have a conversation on either of them. I always have to get people to ring back on the land line.

Hotel Antonio in El Colorado is a good base, we used it when we were looking 10 yr ago, reasonable prices and is open all year. It is easy driving to Vejer, Conil, El Puerto, Jerez etc
