It's not a good time to come over to Brisbane as a recent engineer grad, you might want to start with the larger engineering companies who still run graduate programs however check out your visa...

I will probably get shot down for typing this but.... rellies lived in Springfield Lakes for 2years and therefore we stayed with them for 6 weeks when we first came over... it was over 10 years ago...

Yep, you don't notice normal teeth but we all know somebody around our age that doesn't have a great teeth... unfortunately it is one of the first things you notice... my sons teeth are looking great...

All the offices I have worked in are freezing cold so you go out at lunchtime and roast and then come back into the office and freeze all afternoon... I actually used to wear a scarf in my last place...

Received ours yesterday, $810 for two high schoolers... have to say I have nearly spent it all on new shoes, trainers, maths caluculators, trousers, shirts and then all the books etc... doesn't go...

We had a health care care when we first arrived and I had my wisdom teeth taken out in the chair using the health care card system, in and out in 15 mins no dramas and no bills :)

My firm has a black tie dinner every Christmas ( I know in Brisbane!!! ;) so we hire him the same style black suit, sometimes larger, sometimes smaller for around $150.... however to hire dresses...

It's because it's a scary thought of doing it by yourself, I'm a sociable outgoing kind of person but I wouldn't have considered it, but others do it at the drop of a hat... my cousin moved to Canada...

The school dentist van came to our school once unfortunately in the whole time the children were in primary school, so once in 8 years wasn't something we could rely on... we don't qualify for those...

Both my children (2 boys) went all the way throught their primary education at Wilston, they loved it we made great friends and you will be making the right desicion if you send your children there....
