Re: any truth in the rumours about the building trade slowing down?

Yes i think it is slowing down, with little new work on the horizon. The housing market in Victoria is in decline, indeed stagnant may be a better description.

Re: Spiders and crawlies

If you are young, infirm or very old they can cause problems, but I think to say they 'can cause death ' is very alarmist. It would be interesting to know when the last case of death by spider bite...

Re: Why are Oz made cars shite ?....Is there a decent one in existence

In my opinion the popular cars available, Ford, Holden, Mitsubisi are very poor and do not compare to the Japanese cars on sale. I do not understand why anyone would buy them when for about the same...

Re: Home owners earn $200 a day

Not in Victoria they dont! Market is in reverse in rural Victoria and the market has stagnated in the $300000 + range. Speaking from experience.

Re: Life after sky TV

Pay TV is very poor in Oz, as I think it was also in UK. Anyway I think you will find enough to do with the super lifestyle here not to bother with much TV at all.

Re: Land Rover Versus Range Rover

I would avoid Land Rover at all costs in consideration of their very poor reliability record and reputation and cost of spares. Go Toyota or Nissan.
