Thumbs up Re: Commodore or Falcon? No contest - Toyota!

Toyota has always been - and always will be - a superior alternative to Ford and GM Holden.

I agree. Why anyone would buy Ford or Holden rather than a Toyota or Honda I will never understand.

If you are towing a large caravan or boat, like a lot of Aussies do, and over long distances, you cant beat a large V8 Rear wheel drive sedan, with an option of Manual or Auto trans, somthing the Toyota dos,nt have ...... mm

A large van or boat is going to kill,a 4 or 6 over long distance travel in 35 deg heat , tow even a small camper trailer in the flinders Ranges in spring and you would be struggling............. mm

No it wouldn't, it all depends on your weight=power ratio, as long as you have the vehicle set up correct i.e oil cooler, fans etc the heat shouldn't affect the towing ability. Of course if you are towing way above the recommended weight then it would be a problem.

For various reasons, I also quite like my Ford Sedan. Does a lot of things I need.
I also love the looks of the new Commodore - best looking car to come out of Aussie for years - the recent Fords and Commodores haven't quite got there.

Not any more they don't...

"Sales of the Falcon and Commodore are, respectively, at a 14-year and 12-year low."
