Hi my visa was granted 3 years ago

It took about 6 weeks to get the registration through then 2-3 weeks from Visa application to medical request then about 4 weeks from then till visa granted ...

If you think you may at any time want to go back to the Uk and work as a midwife there then i would strongly advise you to do your midwifery training...

Queensland is desperatly short of midwives there should be no problem getting work.

There is a public hospital called Gold Coast Hospital and They have a fantastic midwifery led model of care. ...

I live in Cleveland and did work at the Mater when I first got here
Travel by train only 50 mins easy walk from the station to the hospital - trains relaible and cheap

By car takes about 40 mins...

The best Hospital in Brisbane is thought by many to be the PA (Princess Alexandra ) My sons friend was in ITU at the PA and unfortunatly he died but the facilities care and staff were outstanding...

Chose a place anywhere in Australia that you would like to be and you will get a job as a midwife rural and remote are desperate. There is a birth centre at Mackay (think thats the right spelling)...

Queensland Health - navy trousers or shorts and the most awful flowery patterned blouse I have ever seen, but at least it is provided free. At the Mater you have to buy your uniforms
