Re: Do you find people 'flakey' here?

I dunno, people can be a bit flakey and let you down, I remember the days!
But give it time, eventually you'll find good mates you'll click with. Personally I rarely hang out with expats, I have...

Re: Tips/advice for our trip to Oz

Hop on another plane and check out the Eastern states, seriously :D It's totally different to Perth, Sydney is beautiful. Perth is very expensive now and so Sydney is no longer unaffordable.

Re: Kids in their knightwear

Nah, it's cool Sandra.
I must admit I wouldn't bother doing this at Whitfords as it's just hectic, but if it was late and I needed something, I wouldn't think twice about taking the kids in their...

Re: I miss the cheese....

Manly beach is pretty cool, I'd swap it for Portsmouth anyday.... lots of cafes, pubs, people surfing, old men going out for a dip. Lots going on. It's a shame Perth isn't as "alive".

Re: Booster seat warning

I'm confused too!

Booster seat warning

Hi guys
I just found this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2LFo8vVi04 which higlights the need to restrain older children (under 5) in 5 point harnesses and not booster seats with adult seatbelts.

Re: My Jake again.

Hi Sandra
Sim saw the aftermath, a good mate saw the accident itself. Sim is a bit shaken up since he saw the cross at the road today. We were hoping and praying he'd survive.
I had a close friend...

Re: What was it and why...........

Yeah, it's a no fly zone due to military restrictions, so probably why Sandra is asking. When we flew to Rottnest Island, this is what we were told, we could only go as far north as the Hillarys. I...

Re: England shirts in Oz Yes or No ?

I don't think it matters what you wear. It's all a bit teenage to judge people according to what they wear, it's all a bit shallow don't you think?

Having said that I have no England shirts or...

Re: Poms and Perth

There's a lot of Aussies coming here from the Eastern States, many are quite happy to leave the Sydney rat race and high house prices, some are sick of the constant heat of Queensland. Mates who have...
