Re: Preparing for K1 interview

I bet you could come up with an argument for why the consulate may want him to paint his toenails pink, too.

Re: Emigration coming - addresses, cards & airport procedures

It shouldn't be difficult and the length of time depends on how many other new immigrants arrive at the same time needing processing. They don't need your X-ray CD. They open your packet, check the...

Re: Preparing for K1 interview

Yes and then some. The copy of the petition isn't needed by you. They have the original in your file. The approval notice isn't needed by you at the interview, but don't lose it because you need a...

Re: Preparing for K1 interview

Not needed from either party at this time. The letter from the Embassy says:

The K1/3 petition is valid for four months from the date of action (priority date at the bottom of the letter) and...

Re: Villers "Intent to Domicile" Questions

Try reading this FAQ from the embassy http://london.usembassy.gov/faq_i864_domicile.html explaining why/how you show "intent" to domicile.

Re: preparing for interview I-864 I-864a

Look at the I-864, item #24b.

If there is a name and income filled in, then the person named completes an I-864A.

If FIL is sponsoring on his income alone, then no need to list a family member...

Re: LPR to Citizen - how long?

While you can file 90 days early, nothing significant is likely to happen until you pass the 3 year mark of being an LPR, except the biometric appointment. The status changes to in line for...

Thanks. We'll be in Boston in a few weeks. Good to know you like it. I downloaded the app but will look at the website too.

The long answer might be found here on page 14 http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/86988.pdf

Or here Is what London says http://london.usembassy.gov/faffidavit.html

Re: What a day

I know of a DCF interview last week where they did not approve because the interviewer wanted proof of plane tickets purchased, resignation from job, and notice to landlord of date moving. She said...

Re: K1 - Waiting on an interview date - SLOW!..

And that is precisely why my preference is to get the info from DOS. I called the embassy once and got told similar story to yours...no info, no interview set. Then the letter came in the post and it...

Re: About to submit my DS forms, question about docs to be attatched.

Going back to the original question

Your K1 instructions are here http://london.usembassy.gov/iv_15.html and not the link you were previously given.

You do NOT attach any documents to the...

Re: K1 - Waiting on an interview date - SLOW!..

It sounded like the guy you talked to was giving you a robotic answer to just wait. That's why I suggested DOS as an alternative to see if anybody there will actually say yes, your forms are received...

Re: Why was my I-129F Denied?

It's all a guess so best to see what they say. The petition part of the process does not ask about your criminal background or credit history, so that seems an unlikely reason to be denied at this...

Re: K1 - Waiting on an interview date - SLOW!..

Have you called the Dept of State to see what they say and compare with what the embassy person says? There are people who have waited patiently 2-3 months, only to find out that their DS Forms were...

Re: When to change SSN name to married name & driving license issue?

Ditto to what Jeffrey said. My husband drove on his UK license. He also got a speeding ticket. Highway patrolmen don't really know anything about immigration, especially K1, and it took probably 30...

Re: When to change SSN name to married name & driving license issue?

It varies with each state. Some will do as Noorah said and give a 90 day license (probably much shorter because you wouldn't be applying on day 1 of your I-94) while many won't bother with such a...

You gave a link yourself to the instructions. Go back and read STEP TWO. She can't send the readiness form until she's ready, meaning have all the documents needed for the interview. That means the...

Re: our sponsers income is from the va..

I haven't ever heard of London insisting on a tax return for the I-134. Many report taking one and the document person handing it back, keeping an employer letter as the proof. Many provide tax...

Re: our sponsers income is from the va..

Is the Mom totally dependent on your fiance? Or partially? For the I-134 that's all they ask. And your fiance only has to make 100% of the poverty guidelines $15,130 for you+her (unless she supports...

Re: and so, our journey begins...

Place of issue: Her passport will say UKHO or IPS. An answer of "London" is an acceptable answer to the question.

DS-156: Don't send any documents or evidence with the forms. You can provide all...
