I have seen people wearing them in the gym, they are meant to be better for running. I wouldn't wear them though, apart from looking downright bizarre I think they would knacker my ankles and knees...

As a side note regarding your problems with the telephone, you may have to dial 1-902 then the number because the number may be out of region. I get this in work all the time, when I have to ring...

Don't discount chiropractor's, I work for one and also get treatment on my back, he does an amazing job and comes highly recommended. I get ART (Active Release Therapy).
