Don't forget that the dollar is now very strong so i wouldn't really rate it as the same as a UK salary of 40-45k. A year ago it would have been only 28 to 32k and prices have not dropped since then!...

We did that for our first car and got about 10% off and a few extras thrown in, i reckon most dealerships will knock 5-10% off the price if you tell them someone else is selling cheaper....
