Good luck,

Alan.

Dont know about WA but are you sure you dont want to come to ACT? - we are in dire need of GPs (lovely place, nice people, good infrastructure blah blah blah - just a GP drought along with the normal rainless drought)

No...We need GPs here in WA, too.

Try Ozzidoc, though I think she qualified out here.

I have a friend who retired as a GP in the UK and has now come out of retirement to work as a GP in rural health here up in two Aboriginal communities. he does 2 weeks on and 4 to 6 weeks off and loves it, i thi nk he finds it more interesting than being a GP in the UK. he got all his registration very quickly and these rural areas are in dire need of Doctors. Someone may correct me if i am wrong but i think normally as an immigrant doctor you will have to work in an area of unmet need for a couple of years.

Cheers

We need you in Victoria.

On the Peninsula where I live in Melbourne they cannot get gps to come one practice in Hastings as been trying for a couple of years and its a lovely area and easy to travel from Red Hill, Shoreham etc.

I think there is a doc on another forum who has just arrived.

Have to say though that there are a lot of Brit doctors here now.

Come to Tassie!

I can't get registered with a GP here, have tried seven medical centres, working my way through the phone book now!

Good luck

Do a search for mvt550 and send him a PM. He is a UK GP who moved to NSW. Should still be able to tell you about the process etc.
