Thumbs down Fireban, what fireban?

Took the dog for the evening walk as usualy on Saturday... and there's this muppet having a huge bonfire in his front garden... bearing in mind the fire ban came into effect 1st November.

I was gobsmacked, looked at him in disbelief - so the cheeky f*****r waved at me....

I phoned the police when I got back and they didnt seem that bothered. Considering we live on acre blocks surrounded by trees, grass etc. one gust of wind and it coudl easily been out of hand - I really expected a bit more of a reaction.

Yep, there seem to be two types of people here, the type who will come and tell people off for doing something wrong, and the type who blatantly do stuff wrong and don't even try to hide it.

In our area there are lots of people who hose their gardens at totally the wrong time of day, and on the wrong days.

I wouldn't go to the police, I'd contact the Rural Brigade. They'll definitely send someone round and explain life to the wazzock.

Fine - 1 slab of beer and a donation. I put one 'illegal' out in my wife's knickers the other day.

I'd contact the local rangers. BTW in Perth the fireban starts 1st December not November, where abouts are you then?

We had some git last Febuary with not one but two poorly attended fires in his garden, i smelt the smoke rushed out expectign to have to grab the Mrs and the cat and found this ignoramus. Told him to put them out and he just shrugged and said 'OK'. My Neighbour commentated it was because he was from Victoria. Anyway, if he does it agin this year i will phone the rangers as it was as dry as bone and knowing our luck it would be our house that burnt and his house would be ok.
