Are tow bars in Australia different to those in the UK (or France)?

Hi all

Does anyone know whether tow bars in Australia are the same as those fitted in the UK? Or France? We are moving to France for a few years and I need to figure out whether to sell the bike...

Re: Is it impossible to rent with a dog?

I'm sorry to say that for us it was a nightmare, but what made it worse at the time (a year ago) was severe the shortage of places to rent. In Sydney, if you take 50 flats (units), on average I'd say...

Re: Ping pong pom

For some reason the quoting thing goes wrong sometimes, and quotes the one after (or before) the one you wanted to quote. Causes all kinds of trouble!

Re: Ping pong pom

IT's not so much a case of Robin Hood as Robbing Hoods. Bournemouth has been ruined by alcohol mainly - not unique in that regard. Highcliffe is lovely. You can have a cup of tea in the castle tea...

Re: Ping pong pom

Well we've both lived in Manchester and Bournemouth. I must say, being Mancunian, moving to Bournemouth was like moving to another country. Sadly it is no longer the place it was even 10 years ago. I...

Re: Ping pong pom

Sorry I meant to add that Coda was not hurting your country, she was criticising it. If you look at the comments on any British newspaper wesbite, the majority opinion is not that far off Coda's. Who...

Re: Ping pong pom

I was replying specifically to Sue's post as it is am important issue for whether this forum is actually what it is advertised as being for - sharing experiences.

But on your point, Coda doesn't...

Re: Ping pong pom

Surely it's fair enough. Coda is posting on MBTTUK because she moved back to the UK, and is sharing her experience. There is a tendency on this forum only to 'allow' good reports of the return -...

Re: not finding anywhere to live and panicking!!!

I know how you feel. It took us weeks in Sydney. It is desperate here - a disgrace actually (like the NSW Government...).

Anyway, you are doing the right things, i.e. being organised and...

Re: brisbane's courier mail..a sad, pathetic excuse of a newspaper

All Australian newspapers are good only for emergency toilet paper. But not even for that for me, as I never buy them, just occasionally glance at them online to see if they have improved. The only...

Re: Importing a dog - quarantine?

Hi beigey

Yes we are in Sydney. It seems the procedure to get to France is much easier than the one to get pets to the UK - amazing that the French don't out-do the British in bureaucracy in one...

Re: Sydney crime zones to avoid

But was this in Sydney in the last 6 months? It is incomparable now to 2-3 years ago. We did the same though - got to know an agent and got on friendly terms. Still, without poof of employment we...

Re: How much more expensive is Sydney?

We found it used to be easy, but the times they are a changed (2008 anyway). We have a dog too (a Moodle) - it seems to cut down your options by 90% as most owners/agents simply won't even consider...

Re: Anyone Worried About England's Finances?

I think that is a brilliant attitude. I wish I had it. Like you say, it could only come from a hard upbringing. Perhaps community leadership is something you should look into. Seriously.
