I certainly think so, been in Victoria for 6 weeks and compared to the UK I have not found a single thing cheaper except for fuel. You need to be earning megabucks to buy even the basic of items...

I agree with dave99. When I was in Perth a few years ago I vividly remember it being too hot, to the point where I was looking for places to hide...but there was no escape. I could never live there...
