Nope, just adapt to it and slow down accordingly.
Ive got a fan on at the moment but will turn on the air con to cool the place right down so I can get the housework done without too much effort.
Then I plant to chill out for the afternoon. I dont feel the need to go out, yes its roasting hot but its a matter of getting used to it and adapting.
Which reminds me, I must fill up my bird bath for the parrots.

Ive just got ducted air con, and couldnt be happier
It was about 42 here yesterday, and I couldnt tell!
I now think ducted air con is way better than other types we have tried.

Lovely day in Melbourne today just right. Not too hot or windy.
I live in Melbourne because we get more cool weather than hot, even though the weather can get extreme in the summer it does not day after day like the northern parts of Australia.

I remember on Thu, it was 33C at around 2 in the afternoon and within an hour it dropped 10 degrees! I don't think I could have survived the hot weather day in and day out.I really hate the flies outside though

I live right on the coast in Sydney and it's rarely too hot around here. We maybe get 4-5 days a year over 35 with most summer days in the high 20's.
Absolutely perfect weather and very few flies too.
In the 30 years I've been here, I can still count the over-40 degree days I've experienced one one hand.
