I wouldn't stay at a hotel if I were you, I'd get out and about for a few hours. I walked down to my local supermarket tonight, it was so lovely. The weather here at the moment is superb. The sky is clear, it's cold enough for a jumper, this time of year in Dubai is the best.

Hi

Sounds like you've got it all sorted now but just wanted to add that I thought Dubai airport was ok, but only had 2 hours there! Would agree with the lack of seats, partly made worse as they were many people asleep on them, taking up 4 seats per person! I do think that no airport is going to be good for 9 hours, where ever you are in the world! We didn't have any real issues with Emirates apart from one leg where we couldn't do online checking in, food was probably better than the others we've tried, seats were variable, the A380 naturally being the most comfy!

Have a good trip

Sam

Sorry but when you book the flighs, they do mention how long the stop over is!!!!! I have went with emirates quite a few times, twice stayed in the hotel they offer free. It's not too bad i think!

I'm flying back on the 15th Dec, but i only have a two hour wait until connection flight to Glasgow

Yes the fist time i did fly to Dubai, i did find some people looking at me as if i was weird , so on that point i do agree

I don't remember suggesting otherwise? I was not complaining about the wait, just asking opinions on the best thing to do in that time.

The free hotel is only available on certain flights, ours not being one of them. Hence my need for this thread.
