We have moved out of our house now n all set to go in just under 6 weeks.... can't come soon enough - this Irish Weather is ridiculous.... we have 3 weeks in Thailand en-route... happy days

There seems to be a lot of people in teh same boat. It feels great to have booked and we have 3 weeks in Thailand on the way which we're looking forward to... will be working fairly quickly on...

No we are keeping our house here and selling a place we bought in France - we are going to rent our house out but need the French place to sell as our mortgage is not covered by rent. ...

We still have the place for sale, who knows on that front... but we are hoping it will sell by then, if not we will have to have sold it within a year of moving over or we will be screwed but I don't...

Lufthansa

We are going one-way and want to stop in Bangkok on the way. The cheapest seems to be with Lufthansa - does anyone have any experience of this airline? I have founds loads of information on here...

we bought a grand car last time we were over for about $5,000 and sold it when we left for the same - other friends bought cheaper ones for travelling around... you may not even need a car yourself,...

I think so, its good for the soul! We plan on heading in September but it may be December - we won't know for a bit but we have to validate be 5th Feb so want to get over in plenty of time for...

I don't know anything about you at all so I can't say. What suits one doesn't suit another but for us, we are not taking any furniture or anything with us. We are just bringing what we need...

We have a 6 year old - also we are actually planning on heading with €10K so it is a bit less than sterling amount and we will get a car out of that too. If you make the effort you will be fine...

I am on Church Road, I don't think either of us will have any hassle getting a tenant - just got to be strict on references and all that if you are doing it yourself... but maybe you would feel safer...

I know nothing about IT but would suggest you start looking at www.alljobs.com.au to get an idea of what is available now. Am sure things won't change that much in a few months.

Frankfurt is a great idea actually we flew back through there when we were last out in Australia and it was so much smoother and less hassle... I had completely forgotten...
