I don't know about the IR85 but you can fill in an p85 to claim back any tax that 'may' be owing to you, there was a thread on here the other day where someone had put a link oto download the form. ...

My current passport with the PR visa in runs out in January 09 and we emigrate to Australia in April 09. Have asked before and most people say you just travel with your old/new passport together. ...

Hi, when we land in Sydney we want to travel about to view areas/houses between Melbourne to Queensland for a few weeks, if we have no permanent address can we; 1) buy a car, 2) get insurance?

We visited on our reccie and loved it, very clean and some lovely places nearby. I'd have probably picked WA to live, given my own choice but hubby liked east coast alot and mainly house prices seem...

Just changed to hotmail addy now we are in rented and will also use in Oz - bonus of this email addy can be used with MSN messenger as well plus it tells you when you have an email on messenger.
