Hi all,

Just a quick one to say we have arrived in Sydney and more importantly Hudson, our dog, has also just landed (worrying over!).

Got a nice apartment in Pyrmont for a month, during which time we need to find a rental for us all, not sure where to start really, looking at lower north shore????

Anyway that was all, more updates to follow,

Congratulations on getting there, hope it is sinking in! I'm looking at renting in Pyrmont, seems fairly handly for the centre etc. Good luck rental-hunting and getting yourselves settled.

2 weeks in and still all good.

Hudson has settled at the quarantine kennels and we are getting regular updates and photos from the dog walkers we have employed, they are really nice people. We get him back on Feb 5th, cannot wait.

Found a house in Ryde, nothing fancy, nice 3 bedder with a lovely garden. Commute to work should be around 50 minutes or so, I hope! We move in on Jan 31st. Really lucky to find it so quick, the owner put it on Domain on Friday night, we rang striaght away and viewed it on Saturday morning, decided to take it as it felt right......plus we had just had 5 other depressing inspections where about 10-15 other couples were charging around the houses.....not fun at all.

So first (and very early) impression of living in Sydney are great.....I will keep you updated.

That sounds great that you managed to get your place fairly quickly and it will be great when Hudson turns up too! Good luck getting everything sorted for the move.
