Re: Who are the other Australians on this site?

Re: Who are the other Australians on this site?

I am. I was born in Oz and moved to London in 1999. I'd planned to stay "for a couple of years" but I loved living over here so much that I stayed for 8! I've had dual citizenship for the last couple...

Re: Don't come to Australia if...

Many (I hope most!) Aussies don't hate Poms but you will come across some people who are anti-English or have a massive chip on their shoulder about England. This could be for any matter of reason...

Re: Don't come to Australia if...

I agree - we don't hate them at all. I have lots of Kiwi and Saffa mates and the joking and banter with them is just friendly Antipodean rivalry - especially if it is to do with sport!

Re: Don't come to Australia if...

Very true - most Aussies appreciate anyone who they can have a banter with and if you give as good as you get they'll love it.

Re: Water restrictions will now hit Farms

Well said. Lots of dairy farmers have sold up and got out in my area (South Gippsland). My parents are managing OK but I don't think my brother will have much of a future in farming in the longer...
