Who are the other Australians on this site?

We know the key to success is finding the right location, with like minded people. We did a lot of travelling in our 2 years back in Oz, and the people we clicked with the most were those that had returned to Australian after being overseas for extended periods (more than the usual 2 year stint in London0. You could really talk to them, and most had similar experiences to ours on their return to Oz.
There's also a couple of clubs in Melboure that cater for returned ex-pats so I'm planning on joining those too to help kick-start my social life.

Im an Aussie.
British Granny who migrated to Oz when she was 12. Intended to be in the UK for four years, to save cash and to travel around Europe - mainly France.
Got sucked into the vortex, and have been in the UK for nearly 10 years - by 10.5 I'll be a qualified doctor though, so something good will have come out of it
I spend all of my holidays in California, where I have a home with my UK fiance.
Two years or so back, I was all set to return to Oz the minute my studies were over. Have been back three times since - and now feel that I am unlikely to return permanently......but who knows?
You only live once - so I'm taking all opportunites that come my way!

I count myself very lucky that all my friends back in Melbourne have lived over in London too, in fact that's how I met many of them. At least when I go back I know they will 'get' the living abroad experience and they will be able to relate to me about living in the UK and the issues I will no doubt face settling back in to Aussie life.

I wonder if there are clubs like that in Sydney?
