Re: Forum get together

Hi all.

Fell at the first hurdle as we didn't get to the meet.

Apologies as it seems a bit bad to try and arrange something when in the UK and then not turn up when in NZ when others have made...

Re: Online banking

We looked at accounts before coming over and could not stomach the fact that most charge for EVERYTHING even internet banking and ATM transactions. The only two that don't seem to for most things are...

Re: Petrol vs Diesel

Thanks all for the info.

Looks like another of those 'wait until we get there and REALLY understand/appreciate the differences ourselves' sort of things.

This time in a month..........leaving...

Re: Migration Agents!!

Re: The Cost Of Emigration

Don't forget, (as for us), there are also NZQA checks, translation fees, (German documentation for my time there), fees for certified copies of documents etc.

I would agree with the general...

Re: The Cost Of Emigration

As an idea we have paid around £4k 'ish' for immigration consultant and paperwork. We will be paying another £4.5k 'ish' for removals, and approx £2k 'ish' (and hopefully 'max') for flights for us...

I guess we just have to get it done. We are after all, people that have decided to 'do it' rather than think about it.

Select an area, (sounds scientific), select a date and just meet up.

Now I...

Re: Visa Question?

I can't remember how long between the initial EOI selection and actually applying but....
