Both myself and the wife live just outside Melbourne in Eltham approx 24km and North East of the city. The commute takes approx 45 mins to 1 hr by car/train subject to traffic and the time you leave....

We used these guys and to be honest cannot recommend them enough.

I travelled over before the wife who was left to tidy up a few loose ends with the house sale etc and our dog failed the blood...

You can actually remove the insurance fees by having 10% down payment which is what we are doing. Likewise you need to ensure you have sufficient funds for Stamp duty as it is a damn site higher here...
