Re: The worse thing I dont like about Oz

I used to work in the tuckshop at my boy's primary school and the kids would always always say "Please may I have..." and then spend the next 5 minutes deciding what to have. The kids round...

Re: Has anyone felt like this?

PM me if you want to whinge in person, I'm only up the road. Personally, I found stopping watching TV a huge help. The media treat their viewers as if they're all thick and I've yet to meet a...

Re: but baby it's cold outside

We went to Cairns in June 2004 for Jim's Birthday and it was flippin' freezing. Everybody told us it was the coldest weekend in years. We were in a lovely hotel but couldn't sleep because it was so...

Re: Can anyone recommend a bank for business accounts?

We use Suncorp and have a dedicated business manager. I've never had to use them though, as our banking needs are pretty simple, but I did have somebody else contact me suggesting we moved to a...

Re: I was going to go alone - but do not think I can do it.

Hi Sandra,

Me again! You say your husbands got a list of reasons, are they valid? Jim won't ever go back to the UK, but that's because he knows that I wouldn't be happy there either, really. ...

Re: How clean are your whites?

Tried all the liquids too, still no good. You probably don't spill tomato, watermelon and banana down you as often as my boy does.

Re: Question about Australian Countryside

Just West of Brisbane has the hills and woodland, little bit further and you also get the pasture. Mount Tamborine area also has all you require. Depends what you need to be close to for work,...

Re: How clean are your whites?

I do the whites on a 90 degree wash and that seems to work. Can't get my coloureds clean though. Omo is the best washing powder for front loaders (I've tried all the rest :o ) but even that doesn't...

Re: What did you think when reading negative posts about Australia

It funny how your perception can be swayed be how a person actually treats you rather than what they say.

When I wrote my 4 month rant about crap supermarkets et al, Dotty saw it for what it was,...
