I'm pretty certain they have tried it in Oz, as well as the US, and they have some test furnaces in Spain now. The main problem seems to be dust on the mirrors. Even a small amount blown by the wind...

I've been buying toys and clothes on ebay in the UK to take with me for my 2 yr old in Australia. I think it's worth it, relative to the cost of buying it in Australia.

About 10 years in Australia, 3 in NZ, now 10 in the UK. It does occur to me that when I was in Australia, I had a big van, while I have a much smaller Golf here.

I used to run pesticide around the window and door frames, and at the top and bottom of all the doors, inside and out. This would at least kill any that got in the house.
Make sure you have windows...

Having done 6 yrs on an ISP helldesk, I used to get the same question about Skype or email suddenly not working 2-3 times a day.
It was usually the firewall, turn it off and turn it back on usually...

Melbourne can be a great place to live, but then I was lucky as I was living in Exhibition St.
