Tina thats great news, lets hope it's catching.
We have just had a viewing EA said they were very non commital and had three others to see, but people do play their cards close to their chests. The one who never turned up on fiday hasn't re-materialised neither has the lady who said she was going to put in an offer. Why bother saying it if you're not. Anyway got a meal out tonight as OH suggested taking kids out while viewing being done. He was late home but we are still going.

great news hun xx heres for a speedy completion we are in same boat only us and buyers yet bloody solicitor reckons 8-10 weeks grrr and they have done most of work already too...will be poking them with a big stick in a couple of weeks

Don't dispair Sue,

It shows that the market is picking up. Hopefully it will knock on to South Wales soon. (Funny how it is just us Welsh crew who can't sell???)

We have had a few quotes - all very low. Have just contacted another company - recommended a few days ago on this thread. Will have to see what they say.

We have also got an auction reserve value - which has been higher than all these companies so far.

just be careful you dont get nearly as much as you would through a normal sale. We had 2 valuations our house just sold for 130k (with ea was on for 140k) if we went one of those we would have come out with around 109k!! Alot of money for us. Also they dont tell u certain things, some companies eg will offer you say 120k then they add up a years mortagage payments and fees and knock that off too.

do a search on moneysavingexpert.com a few threads on there. If you can afford to loose this much do it otherwise i would drop say 10k off house to make it more saleable, we did and sold within 3 days with new agent. also go for a small commission based agent they have to work harder to earn their money than the big chain ones, hope this helps x clare

We have ours up for sale too. Been on for about 3 weeks and had 2 viewers so far, no offers yet. Our agent is internet based only and vets every single buyer before sending them round. Good in lots of ways because I don't have to keep cleaning in half hours notice but takes almost a week for each viewing. Strange I think, but he says no point sending people round that either can't afford it or have not even got their house up for sale yet. Another viewing booked for Wednesday at 3pm so fingers crossed.
We have had visa since June but husband got really ill and just finished treatment and all plans put on hold. Wish we had put house up then, better market and all that.
