Called reservations, got something with an accent who said he could not help and gave me a secret number
Called the secret number (turns out it is the one for Travel Agents
)
Very helpful girl called Ann Marie, Chased the refund (although did point out they would not receive it till Sunday (Friday, Saturday is the weekend in Dubai)
Then checked the baggage allowance, these had been sent out to my other email address and captured and removed as SPAM.
She resent them and waited for confirmation.
So the English customer services on Emirates is good (their online helpline was good as well if you discount charging us twice!!)
So we have tickets that allow 40KG but have paid a fortune for them!
