You probably don't need both, but they keep talking about changing the laws and whilst this is unlikely to be back-dated, if I were you I'd make sure your kids get a UK passport before the rules...

Only going to be in the UK for 2 weeks ax. so not realistically an option to get a new passport and get it to NZ house for a stamp swap. Will have to do it in NZ. Technically I will be 'illegal'...
