Sorry about your dog but if he's going to live in Spain he'll get used to fireworks. Spanish dogs take no notice of them at all.

They are (by spanish bank standards) quite helpful - one or 2 of them speak some english. I have had no real problems with them. Their online banking is very good, one of the best sites I have used....

We are with Sabadell and have had no real problems.We don't pay any charges. Their online banking is excellent, much better than Santander UK online banking which is terrible. Avoid Santander UK if...

We live in Oliva and put our tap water through a filter jug for the kettle. It tastes better in tea and the kettle doesn't fur up.

If your smartphone is unlocked (i.e. not tied to a network) just put a spanish sim in it. If it's locked you can get it unlocked for about 10 euros. Check the different networks coverage in your area...

Obviously local Facebook groups are better for information on a particular town e.g. Oliva. Also trolls are usually jumped on immediately and not given a chance to be disruptive !
