Take off the old drywall, add 2x2s and re-insulate with R 22 or R24 batts.
Get the air/vapour barrier sealed correctly to the electrical sockets and switches, and Bob's your uncle. Warmer and more...

As I once lived in Milborne St Andrew in Dorset I was fairly close to one of the Piddles, and Puddles, and there was a Piddle in the Puddletown valley, the River Piddle. :lol:
