We are so feeling what you're going through.:) We have started out OK, salary a pittance, OH shifts mean working all nights, no time with us at home. My eldest son and daughter 14 & 12, hate it here....

HI, we used Westpac, opened everything from UK and transferred funds. Went into branch on arrival for 100point check etc. Had a superb service, very helpful, even got us credit cards sorted out etc....

We were looking for rentals near where you're looking, and we did give up after 3 weeks. Like you said the refs etc they wanted started to get rediculous....and some of the landlords...

just be sure of weight limit...most are 35kg max, for health & safety reasons! Our boxes were only 3/4 filled, when we reached 35kg max, padded out with soft toys, they were mainly large hardback...

thanks for all replies! kids are already oz citizens, so I am the only one who can register starighforwardly, need utility bills etc and rental agreement once citizen, so hotel address no good:cool:...
