Queensland Nanny State

:frown:Pedestrians are such an easy target aren't we? I've just been given a $40 fine for crossing when the light was at red on a one lane, one way road (the road outside Borders Book Store,...

Re: 33-year-old gay Irishman dead

That is a truly evil thing to say. You should be thoroughly ashamed.

On a different note there seems to be an awful lot of homophobic "men" on this forum. I wonder what your problems are? All...

Re: Brisbane....is it as good as they say???

I would liken Brisbane to a "nice" American city. The car rules and there are lots of idiot drivers. There's very little greenery in the city - high rise everywhere. It's quite red-necked,...

Re: 'Whatever' = most annoying word in English Language

Re: Jackson Jive

Seems the pc brigade has gone over the top once again. I'm sure it wasn't funny - not much on Ozzie TV is. I just can't see what the problem is. If you are making a film about Ghandi you wouldn't...

Re: Xrates down to $1.78 to £1.00,does it give extra push to sell up in OZ

Brisben you seem incredibly naive. The vast population of Australia lives in 4 or 5 large cities around the edge. It is every bit as densely populated as the most populated cities in the UK.

I...

Do you expect people to change their minds to make it more interesting? Do you just read threads to make a miserable comment on them?

Errrr no. Soda water has flavouring added...it's not pure water. Sparkling mineral water is water. The one I like is naturally carbonated and full of essential minerals.

Re: Buying property...offers??

1) House prices stagnating for "many years" is the absolute best outcome that can be expected (although highly improbable).
