I am with you.
There is only one reason that I will return to the UK and that is when my dear old dad passes away. Hopefully that will not be for a very long time.
I am here for the long haul, not for the "Get rich quick" short haul.

Agreed, anyway money isn't so important as long as you do OK, you know pay your way and survive, The Australian lifestyle is just unobtainable in the UK.
I am happier having hardly any spare cash and living in Australia than being a cashed up Chav in the UK...

Am really interested to know what you mean by "the Australian lifestyle is just unobtainable in the UK". What lifestyle?

I think so.
People bang on endlessly about 'the lifestyle' - is Australia really so homogenous and bland that it only offers one? I don't think so.
If the point is about beaches & 'the outdoor life' then I'm sure there are millions of Aussies who spend very little time enjoying either...I certainly know plenty. Each persons ideal lifestyle is different and need not involve the things Australia is 'good' at.

"The UK lifestyle is unobtainable in Australia."
That statement is perfectly reasonable as a broad generalisation and requires no explanation. You could write that the Australian lifestyle is unobtainable in the UK. There is nothing about that which could be argued otherwise, except by the most pedantic of people and even then on an entirely subjective level.

I think the lifestyle I enjoy now is obtainable in the UK.

Anyway, different areas have different results, so averages give an average.
