Two blokes on the radio have just been ringing English residents up and calling them "pom" repeatedly until they hang up.

I know somebody who thought they'd bought a 110V mixer and used it for ages until the apprentice pointed out the plate said 240V.
Even considered welding a handle on it to give it a bit of help when...

I use my 110V gear and have no problems with testing and tagging as I've done the course and T&T my own tools (as long as the tools are in safe working order they will pass the test criteria whoever...

Also bear in mind Rheem require possession of the gas, restricted electrical (and restricted plumbing if not a licenced plumber) licenses and live within striking distance of Brisbane city centre

Sounds like this is an aspect you overlooked when choosing where to settle. Never mind picking an area where the schools are good or where you'll find a rewarding career you should have checked out...

A new developement on the drainers courses may be of interest.
TAFE Qld have a correspondence course in drainage about to be released which, if I'm right in thinking, gives a uk plumber the chance...

As always it's a supply and demand thing.
I read recently Tasmania was short of gasfitters.
Quite a few of the plumbers who arrive here in SE Qld earn nothing as qualification recognition is not...
