It does depend where you are!

We've been near Calgary 6 years nearly:-

I would say OVERALL life for children/teenagers is the same and this includes prospects.

Hey I totally agree with this.

Probalby the hardest thing about emigrating is leaving those parents/siblings/friends left behind.

We said to our parents back when we left in 2007 - we'd be back...

A couple of things I was not clear on-

1. annual leave in ALberta region is 2 weeks only ( I am in retail and hubby is the same he is in engineering)
2. work culture is different here...

For our family - it was the thought (I stress THOUGHT) of an easier life/more family time/more outdoors life/bigger house/not so far from friends and family to fly to and not too far for us to fly...
