Re: Stuck up Daily Mail journo puts the boot into Wellington

My thoughts exactly! Less of 'em will come to NZ, it's a win-win. (I only read the mail now and again to see what the middle-class royal-loving right are up to).

Re: Any Suitable IT jobs - Village called NZ

Re: How bad is it?

Re: UK vs NZ

Actually, I disagree...Where I used to live, in Wellington, you could be in the Tararuas, in no time, the Wadestown hills, which were perfect for daily trail-running, were on my doorstep, and there...

UK vs NZ

I've been back in the UK for 3 weeks after 8 years' living in NZ. It's a bit weird being back as some kiwi traits have rubbed off on me.

Re: Oz first then Nz

Getting work in OZ is a lot easier than getting work in NZ. Firstly, you don't need 'OZ' experience, like you need 'kiwi' experience to get work in NZ.

There are loads more jobs, and ozzies...

Re: Oz first then Nz

That's nothing. A police officer vacancy in North-Yorkshire, for 30 places, attracted circa 350,000 applications!

Re: How to change my attitude!!

Make it simple. Seriously, why drag your arse half-way around the world for somebody else to somewhere you don't want to be?

Cartesian logic might help.

a) What will happen if you go to OZ?
b)...

Re: How to change my attitude!!

If you do not want to go, do not go. Pretty simple. It's your life, not the kids, grandparents, parents, husband, friends, family, etc. It's you who you have to look in the mirror every day when you...

Interesting post, Lee. I don't know how long you've been in NZ, but your observations are insightful. It took me a few years to come to similar conclusions.

Probably the biggest myth I keep...
