Alcohol makes you lose control, so it's not a good idea.
I know it's awful, but have a really good blub - really go for it. You'll feel better for it.

Need some advice, just about to cry :curse:. Got word late yesterday that down the chain the first time buyer has got 100% mortgage and so we would have to all exchange & Complete on the same day???. When we sold some 9 weeks ago , we said we want some time in between exchange and complete to arrange shippers, flights, rent etc oh and telling the kids school and work.
I dont want to pull out because the market is dead here.
What do We do??? I feel this was going wrong ages ago , buyer been a pain from the start. We are using the money from the sale to get over to Australia and start our new life, I have just lost my nan and this really is done it for me

Perhaps in time you can contact the RSCPA in Australia and try to house a homeless dog when you are more settled and give an abused / neglected animal the opportunity to experience the love and warmth you have to give.
Animals become such a big part of your family and it is heartbreaking..
Positive is you know that he is going to be well looked after and loved.

Hi guys, I have just taken my dog to his adoptive parents This has been really hard and the house feels so empty without him. It wasn't the money to take him to Oz we just knew he would hate the flight and quarantine and he was already a nervous Labrador and I have found him a super home but all the same

Sorry guys just had to let you all know.
Somme - nothing we say will help but thinking of you We are leaving our cat behind. He is very nervous and gettin on a bit so like you dont think it would be fair to take him. I have a wonderful home all lined up with a friend of mine but I keep puttin off taking him although i know he is already very unsettled by everything going on in the house He is more human than feline, I watched him being born and i will miss him so much. I guess we all have to take comfort from knowing we are doing what is best for our pets

i think your decision is very brave - you have chosen what you think is best for your dog rather than what you would want to do for yourself. Just remember that he is going to have a wonderful time in his new home and you saved him from all that stress and upset.

any tips , sorry to butt in on your thread.i would try and hang onto your buyer if you can - the market is not great at the moment and it is getting close to christmas.
is there somewhere that you could stay for a couple of weeks after the house sale went through?
you would have to get the shippers in before hand but at least you could still do all the other things afterwards
