Re: Visa obtained but what about HGV requirements..?

Re: Trucking company has "LMO"

$1.50/ mile is not top money by any standards. Fuel is cheap at the moment but the US exchange rate adds about 30% on again right now to US fuel.
If you have high truck payments $1.50 would be...

Re: Lorry driving jobs in Calgary

I wouldn't want to drive for any big company and Bison is the biggest trucking company in Canada but that said, I really can't believe anyone would turn down Bison to work for H&R.
Bison employ...

Re: Manitoba Advice

In this particular case I agree with Gremmie. By the terms of his visa he's not coming to Canada as a truck driver so he doesn't have to prove truck driving experience.
Of course actually getting a...

Re: I NEED SOME HELP PLEASE!!!!!!

$33,000..... Are you serious? You need to double that at least.!!
The average long haul wage is around $65,000 and that doesn't provide the means to a lavish lifestyle even here in Manitoba...

Re: double man team coming over

Super single is a good compromise except that instead of earning 2 x wages the probability at best would be one and a half. Great for husband and wives but perhaps not so good for two guys with a...

Re: double man team coming over

Bear in mind that running team over here involves keeping the truck going right round the clock. Quality of life doesn't get a look in.
Also, it is unlikely that any company would put two...

Re: Looking for REAL Long Haul in Ca - off for weeks

Yeah that must be right or else surely it would be legal to pick up in Maine, transit Canada and deliver to Washington state which I don't think it is.
