Im too looking to work in canada as a truck driver have a full class 1 driving licence , have contacted some canadian company's via email . im just wondering which firm is better as a newbe and looking for calgary .

Im 31 years old , married and kids etc . would love to move over to canada for work . im trying to find out which company is best for the newbe to canada , wots the best way to get an interview etc. looking at calagry as a place to work and live . also
sorry to go on but wots a typical wage and how much is needed to live a decent life

jocko ,well if you are looking at Calgary think south o england (london wages ).could you survive in london on truck driver wage? wife not working , typical wage mmmmm..how many miles you doing? un likely hr paid ,mind no child benefit payable for first 18mnths.

I would avoid Alberta at the moment , Far too much bureaucracy to get nomination , Which entitles you to apply for PR ,
Look at SK or MB then move out West
Look at SK or MB then move out West

If you get a job your wife will get an open work permit that runs for the same length as yours. This means she can work for any company that will employ her she does not need an LMO, so it much easier for her to get a job and you will need it for that extra income. But like KB says its hard at first but worth it in the long run!
