LMIA truck jobs
Hi all. First time post and apologies if this thread exists elsewhere. My husband is looking for a truck driving job with an LMIA. I have sent his email off to hundreds of companies and no success. Would anyone know of any companies hiring with LMIA in place or in progress?
Sincerest thanks in advance.

Hi and thanks for the reply. We are in the UK.

Re: LMIA truck jobs
There may be some LMIAs for drivers already here wishing to change jobs but for a driver still in the UK they are about as common as Unicorn poop !
The immigration for truckers may never return to past levels or at least unlikely to any time soon unfortunately.

I thought that might be the case and have seen some info on the issues with jobs in the energy sector. Appreciate your help and taking the time to respond 😊

I have a friend in the UK looking to return and is currently in the process with H & R so while things may be slow it would appear that there are some LMIA`s getting distributed but not as freely as everyone would like

Agritel from Beausejour, Manitoba are recruiting from Europe this year. Don't know whether they have filled their quota of LMIA's yet.
Just keep in mind that any company that needs to search around the world to find drivers who will work for them might not be the best companies to work for.

Hi, thanks very much for the info and advice and understand completely what you mean. It's important enough for us that we know we may well have it tough for a couple of years but the end goal is worth it. Thanks for the tip, email on its way!

Best of luck to you and your husband.
It was real easy 10 years ago. I went working for Kindersley transport in Saskatoon in 2006. No idea if they still hire foreign drivers or not, but it's another name for your list.
Never give up. One life, one chance. Chase your dreams til you catch them.
