Thanks for the all replies guys. Cheers for the offer Bradfordlad but I took shears advice and hired a 1 ton Ute at lunchtime (don't know why I didn't think of that myself!) $39 dollars for the day...

...I've got some furniture to collect from Butler to Ocean Reef and it won't fit into our hatchback ! Does anyone know a man with a van or large Ute that might be able to help ?

Me, the misses and our 2 kids (10 & 2) drove in a Britz campervan from Brisbane to Cairns, August this year. As has already been mentioned, hiring a campervan is not cheap !
