We emmigrated from Guildford nearly 7 years ago straight to the comox Valley, when our children were 2 and 4.We love it here skiing, moutain biking, trails e.t.c, and we are 2 minutes to the beach.

What i do is purchase dvd's from amazon uk via my nationwide account,and get my parents to ship them over.I have been doing this for over 2 years now,and you do not pay any custom fees this way.

My passport runs out this November, but i cannot apply to take my citizenship test till next March.So if i apply to renew my UK passport for ten years,and then next year become a Canadian...

If you renew the passport in Canada while still a PR, is the passport a 10 year like if you would renew in the Uk or a 5 year passport like a Canadian one.
