Hi,

Cashed ours in before we left the UK and brought it over with the rest of our monies no tax to pay.

I'm not sure but I think if you leave it to mature you will only pay Australian tax on...

Seems expensive to do it yourself, we are shipping South Wales to Adelaide, using Whites £3500 thats them doing everything.
I also think it will be harder to obtain insurance being self packed,...

Totally agree about the visa part, but we have been told we can have a stopover and keep the migrant allowance, this has been confirmed in writing.
I guess the staff all need to singing off the same...

We have just instructed Whites & Co, to move our stuff in a 20' container from South Wales to Adelaide door to door including all packing and unpacking.
£3500 managed to knock them down a bit....

It's so frustrating the waiting - keep positive though. We used an agent and they were fab and really reassuring and all the timescales they gave us, were accurate. Good luck!
