i wasn't thinking about the money. You will need all the experience you can get. And i would say if you can't stick weld then you will never be a welder. just my opinion but every welder i have known...

I would try to get as much hands on as you can before you leave the uk.
And i would try to get lots of stick (arc) welding in if you can. and you will have more chance of a job with face to face...

There are tippers here (tandem dump trucks) if its a 6 or 8 wheeler its a straight truck. But most are tractor trailers (articulated) around here anyway.
most places want a class 1 and its seasanal...

Well i live in nova scotia. I think we have just about the highest power cost, tax, gas (petrol) prices in canada. I would think halifax rental is only going up with the ship building. 1 job 2 cars 2...

i would say if you can get into canada with whatever skills you have do so. then do training here as apart from a car driving licence in some provinces they seem to not recognize anything in the way...
