$6000 would be a propane self starting etc super generator, like a pool box, and we thought about it. We lose power for shorter periods here and there. Longest was 6h so far. And then the odd longer...

We have to get the generator and the gen link next year. It's bloody expensive. We were thinking of just running a cable to hook the appliances up but realised that the furnace wouldn't be working....

bears around here keep themselves to themselves. They are seen regularly but cause no harm as long as you don't get between mother and cup or they are wounded or ill. They are not predators looking...

Sounds good. Be aware that applications for a change to visitor status online are processed much quicker than those sent via post. So the "postal" one will give you a longer period of implied status...

I agree but it's their way of getting away with "home day care" without license, permit or other restrictions.

Here in Lanark they can have 6 kids including their own as a licensed home day care...
