We had an EA and now we're selling privately. Just had another EA 'round for a valuation, (this one was invited!). Bad news, he reckons the house would be worth more if we waited until the spring as there are no buyers around. He said to get a buyer we would have to drop the price so people would commit to get a bargain. Not what we wanted to hear - but honest. ![Sad](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/sad.gif)

could you not just leave it on the market?
that way if the right buyer turns up in the meantime you can sell and if they dont you can just pick up the marketing again in the spring?

I'm on my lunch break, nipped home to tidy up, don't know why, no viewings for weeks but live in hope!
Bushy, we are heading to Melbourne if we ever sell the bloody house. May reduce it AGAIN next week if no interest.
Catch you all later, work to do!![Thumbs Up](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

If a property is on the market too long it goes stale and then buyers think there is something wrong with the house/area according to those in the know, is that right Bushy?

Hmmmm...... difficult ground. Just depends on how quick you want to sell. A change of agents is sometimes all you need. What happens if the market crashes? Estate agent news says (had delivered this morning)
