Good idea! Hopefully the flights will be empty! You can party on board. Shame you'll be flying the wrong way round the World, so you'll only get one new year's eve. (If you see what I mean?) Can you book flights which allow you to change the date free of charge? That way you wouldn't worry too much.

I have seen someone mention somewhere about being able to change flights free of charge - not sure where or who with though

When you're over in Oz enjoying your new life, you can check in here and watch me slowly disintergrating when we're at this point!
Packing is a good thing though! You'll be doing something positive and it will keep your mind off the visa!

Fingers crossed it stays that way!!
Are they at school / nursery yet? If so, do you think you'll have a fraught few days at home? Mine has had 4 sick days this term already! All genuine, bloomin germs spread like wildfire in schools. Thank goodness the OH and myself didn't succomb this time. When DD started nursery and then school we all had flu 3 times in 2 years and were all really, really ill. Hadn't had flu for 10 years before this or since - fingers crossed. No one warns you that having children makes you ill!
