Never came off them, as I knew I wasn't, just the "experts" saying I was. And I drank....there's half a bottle waiting for me tonight. I might manage a glass of it.

Re: How has your day been?
Bit of a bummer, after my steroid injection into my hip yesterday, its gone all inflammed and painful - like really painfull and the specialist said there is deep tissue swelling. So off I drive to the hospital on specialists instruction, see him who sends me for bloods, and then he talks to some infectious disease expert, so have to start on Antibiotics now and then call him on his mobile tomorrow morning at 7.30am and if things havent improved, to go in for IV antibiotics.
Cant start the immunosuppressive meds either.
And, on the way out of the car park, I scraped a bit of my bumper on the pissing helideck sign - bastard sign, by the looks of it all being buckled - it has taken a few knocks, it is only a small scratch but I am so cross and was tempted to do cartwheels over the helideck area and pretend to be a helicopter myself. Now I need to find someone who can touch my car up with the paint.
Fingers crossed when I call specialist tomorrow everything is OK, because I have a hair appointment tomorrow and I have been looking forward to it, and a waxing appointment in the arvo.
I have however, consoled myself with an aero bar.

So far so good. I managed to sleep pretty well last night so woke up feeling good today. I'm still on house arrest until Saturday, so sitting watching crap daytime TV and eating Maltesers waiting for the old man to get home from grocery shopping. He's making bangers & mash with onion gravy for dinner tonight so it's all good.
Tomorrow a friend and I are going for a drive and lunch which will be nice. I'm feeling really great so looking forward to getting out somewhere other than a doctor's appointment.

I have had an OK day. Library with the kids. Grocery shopping. Spoe to the pharmacist and established that 'avoid alcohol' on the information that accompanies my tablets is more 'don't overdo it but a couple of glasses won't hurt' rather than 'any more than a sip and you will die a painful death' so good news! Best crack open a bottle to accompany the mustard chicken I have had in the slow cooker all day!
Got to clear my car out over the weekend before it goes to the mechanic on Tuesday as it is positively squalid in there! Hope the mechanic says it's nothing drastic (whitish grey smoke from the exhaust on a warmed up engine) as got no money!
On the plus side the dentist found no holes and the space behind the broken file in my root canal hasn't played up in over a year (ha, take that Mrs Endodontist who wanted to charge me $2500 to re-drill it as I would be in agony within 2 weeks!) so looks like it is all settled!

Re: How has your day been?
Went to Memorial service this afternoon. Have had a really bad headache all day. Feeling sick now too cos of it. What I really want to do is eat a nice pie and mash and mushy peas but no, it's lentils again. Not that I'd want alcohol with my head but I could really do with a glass or 10. Wonder if I'm allowed a day off tomorrow?
All good apart from that though.....just got to get eldest from training then I can retire.

My day was fine. Forced back into normal body clock-ness by starting at 8am. It was painful after night work and only 1 day off, but all good now.
Got the weekend off so will take the new car out, it's all shiny and new and I'm looking forward to getting it dirty prob take it along the beach and do a spot of fishing. Then have the Brissie to the Bay 100km bike ride on Sunday but that's an update for another day (if I survive it).

Good luck with the car, watch for kiddies
We are going to be seeing plenty of bikes tomorrow, there is a day-long junior event practically on our doorstep, not sure whether they are completely closing the roads and there is only one way in/out so it may be a day for housework ... or watching bikes ...

Good day so far. Did two hours at the gym this morning then hairdressers. Lunch with a girlfriend followed by a nanna nap. Facial this afternoon and a glass of wine with the girls. Out this evening to other friends for dinner

Not bad. Got wound up to make a phone call, found out the teacher I wanted had started her holidays a day early, calmed down again and moved on. Weather was quite good as well, lighter weight jumper today
